I am enjoying the art of writing novels. I have penned Jagged Edges, a Christian romance and have now completed the sequel, Shattered Pieces. I am also writing a book of poetry as well as some Christian plays. It is my dream to have one of my novels developed into a screenplay and a film. My thoughts are also on developing a novel for children ages 10-14.

Williamsburg Book Festival - A jury of publishers, editors, writers, and readers have selected Doris H. Dancy and Jagged Edges to be a part of the Williamsburg Book Festival. The notification indicated that the competition was tough and getting into this year's festival was difficult.
National Award for Successful Reading Programs - This award was presented because of the national success and high standardized test scores for Hampton City Public School as a result of using Breakthrough to Literacy. The award was given to eight school districts in the United States.
